Hello everyone, is it autumn yet? I hope so, because it’s my favourite season. Not that I saw much of it at the start of the week, as I spent the entire week in Studio 4.
Here you can see me giving Arjen a stern talking-to just before the recording.
I always walk with him right up to the stage, preferably not onto it - that’s more Arjen’s thing.
I did some drawing in my sketchbook on Friday. This is a portrait of my daughter in her favourite outfit from when she was little. She was (and still is) such a fashionista!
I made a quince tart with the quince left over from making quince jelly last week.
On Saturday it was finally time for the makers’ market at QRU on Spaklerweg in Amsterdam. It’s such a lovely place!
I was given a table underneath the penguins.
And here you can see me with my little shop. It was so much fun! After years of selling everything online through Instagram and my website, this was my first time doing it this way. Watching everyone look at your work is quite nerve-racking, so I was pretty nervous.
Mirjam was at the table next to me selling the fantastic bicycle bags her sister makes, but she still found time to take these lovely photos:
Some of what I didn’t sell is now available at 20% off on my website. Afterwards, once everyone had packed up and left, I took this photo.
I bought a lovely yellow mug from Anke, and it’s now my favourite mug.
I also bought this drawing by Dorus.
And a collage by Maaike Hartjes <3
I’d also bought all sorts of collage materials from Maaike and RisoPop, so the next morning I could take it all in with beautiful paper and coffee in my new mug.
Muis needed a little time to recover too, and she hadn’t even come along.
